Wanaka Tour

Wanaka is a lovely holiday resort town nestled among breathtaking scenery on the southern shores of Lake Wanaka, in the heart of the Southern Lakes District, in Central Otago, New Zealand.

The gateway to Mt Aspiring National Park and skiing at Treble Cone Ski Field and Cardrona Alpine Resort, Wanaka is a beautiful place full of lakes, mountains, rivers, diverse attractions, and endless activities.

Being so close, and so different to Queenstown, Wanaka is a must see!

Join us on one of the most popular hikes in New Zealand, the Rob Roy Glacier Walk. We begin low in the valley before crossing the West Matukituki River by swing bridge into a beech forest. Continue climbing along the Rob Roy River before gaining impressive views of the Rob Roy Glacier, an excellent photo opportunity!

Cool off with a swim in the Motutapu River and get your blood pumping with several awesome locations for cliff jumping!

We will then visit The Wanaka Tree, another great photo opportunity.

Our tour takes us along the Crown Range Alpine Road, the highest main road in all of New Zealand at 1,121 meters, offering impressive views of the lowlands below. We will stop in Cardrona to see the famous Bra Fence and to visit the Cardrona Pub.
