Overview

Depart from the lake shore, near Pigeon Island, between Queenstown & Glenorchy. We will cruise leisurely across the lake to the Island.

On the Island take a guided walk, learn about the fascinating history of the greater area surrounding you, and Pigeon Island itself, while spotting endangered native birds.

The noise of birdsong will surround and surprise you on this island sanctuary, home to a huge bird population.

Soak up some peace and quiet lazing on the beach before a drink and snack food is served, after which you will begin the short journey back home.

An interesting, informative, social, relaxing and ecological experience - all wrapped up into one. Be prepared to be surprised.
